Eat, drink and be merry. The three classic ingredients for festive success. If you're seeking a special location in which to revel in the joys of the season, look to Richmond's Petersham Hotel. The gloriously grand building has overlooked Petersham Meadows since 1865, and offers a slice of traditional English grandeur, combined with lovely staff and first-rate food.

The hotel's Festive Dinner menu comes with a few extras... Aside from delectable dishes such as seared mullet and squid, potted shrimps and tandoori quail to start, followed by traditional turkey, venison loin or Dover sole, diners can expect a snowy surprise or two!

The festive menu costs £31.50 for two courses, and an extra £8 for a third course.
